Meal Plan: A Sketch

I don’t love committing myself to a specific plan, if only because I know that I’ll probably mix it up at some point. BUT. My work schedule is pretty wonky this month and so I need to give a little more thought to what and when we eat. Last week was a total bust and involved much takeout—especially exasperating because my new obsession with pricing out meals makes me very aware of just how much money we’re throwing away and what we could buy with it otherwise. Here’s my best guess at what we’ll eat this week:

  • Monday — Stuffed Pepper Soup
  • Tuesday — Broiled Pork Chops, Applesauce, Roasted Zucchini, Baked Potatoes
  • Wednesday — Stuffed Baby Eggplant
  • Thursday — Pasta w/Meatballs, Tossed Salad
  • Friday — Chickpeas w/Potatoes and Tomatoes, Carrot Salad
  • Saturday — Beans & Greens Soup, Bread
  • Sunday — Baked Hot Wings, Celery & Carrot Sticks

Breakfast: Cinnamon Swirl Bread, Oatmeal, Yogurt Smoothies

Lunch: Tuna Pate, PB&J, Egg Cups, Carrot Sticks

Dessert: Peach Pie, Peanut Butter Cookies
